Small Faces is the eponymous second studio album by the Small Faces, released in 1967. The album was their first for Immediate Records after leaving Decca. It peaked at number 12 in the UK Album Chart. The band's debut album, released on Decca in 1966, is also entitled Small Faces.

Small Faces/The Faces Why : It’s impossible to choose which incarnation of this mod group we prefer. Most bands would curl up and die after a talent like Steve Marriott walked, but instead the Faces brought on Rod Stewart and Ron Wood and kept on rolling. Essential track : Lazy Sunday. 43. Gruff Rhys/Super Furry Animals Why : The pride of Wales, this experimental group has managed to stay relevant for nearly two decades. 21. The Libertines Why : They only released two albums before disbanding, but both managed to rank among the best of the past decade. They played in front of a backdrop declaring themselves the future of rock & roll, and we believed them. Now every time we hear Pete Doherty’s wail, we can only imagine what might have been had he been able to keep himself together. Essential track : Don’t Look Back Into the Sun.

British blues: Direct from the Delta to Dartford and beyond, the Blues turned British rock on its head. Already hailed as one of the finest Scottish soul singers of the 70s, Frankie Miller was despatched to San Francisco to record his third album with producer Elliot Mazer and a band that included guitarist Henry McCullough and keyboard player Mick Weaver from the Grease Band. The Rock’s underlying Stax feel proved what a great singer/songwriter Miller was with the Memphis Horns kicking (br)ass and the Edwin Hawkins Singers laying down backing vocals on the brilliant A Fool In Love.

Small Faces were an English rock band from East London. The group was founded in 1965 by members Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy Winston, although by 1966 Winston was replaced by Ian McLagan as the band's keyboardist. The band is remembered as one of the most acclaimed and influential mod groups of the 1960s with memorable hit songs such as "Itchycoo Park", "Lazy Sunday", "All or Nothing", and "Tin Soldier", as well as their concept album Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake.

The first country album to sell a million copies featured many previously released songs by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Tompall Glaser and Jennings' wife Jessi Colter. But unifying the songs under the theme of outlaw country - a concept gaining national traction - made this album a runaway hit. A big part of that was due to the perfect cover art, depicting all the singers as dangerous, wanted outlaws from the Old West.

From hard rock to punk, new wave, indie and Britpop, British bands have defined entire genres and influenced millions of rock fans over the years. The UK music scene has produced some of the world's most iconic bands and artists, whose work remains just as popular and revered to this day. From Joy Division to Radiohead, the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, these are the best. They were also one of the first British bands to introduce the idea of a concept album, too, with 1969’s hugely successful Tommy. Who’s Next is one of the great UK rock albums, too, and the band are still talking about their generation five decades on. Georgie Gillard/Daily Mail. Rock monsters Led Zeppelin are one of the greatest, hardest rock bands ever, and the four individual members are all some of the best players of their generation too.
